Iron Shadow Cinema proudly announces it will be producing the feature film They Live Within.
Executive producer and special effects artist Shane Morton, who is the founder of Silver Scream FX Lab and the Atlanta Zombie Apocalypse Attraction, will create practical monster effects the like of which have never been seen before. Shane Morton has worked on numerous high profile projects including Halloween II (2008), Too Many Cooks (2014), Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell… (2013-present), Sam & Mattie Make A Zombie Movie (2015), and Frankenstein Created Bikers (2016).
Walt Guthrie is the writer of the screenplay and will co-direct with Matt McGahren, who recently directed the short film The Grinning Man. (2nd Place winner overall, Audience Award and Best Cinematography at the 2015 Atlanta 48 Hour Horror Film Project).
Production of They Live Within is expected to begin this Fall. The film is set in 1957 when juvenile delinquents are sent to an isolated island reformatory camp. The new arrivals bring heightened racial tensions and a contempt for authority that quickly explodes into violence. But it’s going to get a lot worse. Because something else has arrived on the island: monstrous alien parasites that take over their human hosts and devour them from the inside.
